Ventilating Skylight

A project for my home. Our coop's roof was being completely replaced: a good time to install a skylight for light, air and a sense of openness!

I had a hip skylight with operable ventilating side sashes fabricated. The wall to the kitchen, ceilings above bathroom and kitchen were removed and raised 30". The skylight spans both. I cut a notch in the dividing wall for plants below the skylight

Light now floods the kitchen, bath & living areas.
